In Bedford County, two security guards are being honored as heroes. It was two weeks ago that a pair of guards from the Georgia Pacific paper mill in Big Island helped save a 2 year old boy who nearly drowned.
Lt. Roderick (RJ) Nowlin and Captain Danny Humphreys hold multiple awards in their hands. A day of celebration. The reason? Just two weeks ago in their hands was the life of a two year old boy, Judah Anderton.
